Internship Summary

This role will ideally suit someone LOVES food and travel, whom is switched on, has some work experience or has an entrepreneurial spirit.

Above all, the intern should be willing to work as part of the team in a startup environment, be flexible and enjoy change.

The following skills (interest in developing these skills) are desirable but:

• Knowledge of social media
• Photography (food, landscape or portrait)
• User experience design (UX)
• Knowledge of food trends or considers themselves a ‘foodie’

Tasks

• Administration and coordination
• Service design
• Graphic design
• Social media and digital marketing

• Coordination of team administration (logistics and stakeholder engagement)
• Manage weekly communications (newsletters and blogs)
• Research food trends and accompany the team on farm/producer visits
• Support the team across digital marketing (posting photos on instagram and Facebook)

Host Summary

This company is a Startup based in Hobart Tasmania. It is a food experience product that enables foodies and cultural travellers (tourists) to discover local produce and foods directly from primary producers and farms across regional areas. This Host Organisation is currently prototyping food experience on farms across Tasmania, integrating mobile and augmented technology to enhance the travel experience.

They also curate food festivals and are currently contracted by the Hobart City Council to curate the 29^th annual Taste of Tasmania 17-18 Festival.
